Youth Fundraiser Scrip

HOW SCRIP GENERATES REVENUE FOR OUR YOUTH MINISTRY?

Scrip is a powerful fundraising tool because members of First Reformed can generate revenue for the youth ministry through purchases they would make anyway. Groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, building materials, and even gasoline can be purchased with scrip. When OUR church family uses scrip for these purchases, they raise money without spending an additional penny.
First Reformed Scrip program offers a wide selection of scrip gift cards from America's favorite retailers.
First Reformed buys the scrip gift cards at a discount, and re-sells them to our church members for FULL face value. The rebate is from one to seventeen percent. This rebate is retained by our youth as revenue to help fund all activities of the youth ministry.
Scrip is "no-selling" fundraising. Prayerfully consider changing your purchasing habits to help our youth in Christ’s kingdom.

First Reformed Church Youth SCRIP Program Policy

1.      SCRIP orders are processed weekly. Orders are due Monday by 8:00 A.M. if submitting electronically or after the Sunday first service in fellowship hall if submitting a check by hand. Orders may be picked up the following Sunday after first service in the fellowship hall. NO LATE ORDER WILL BE PROCESSED, but can be held for the next week.

2.      When you open your account through CompuScrip.org, you will be asked to set up an automatic payment account payable to First Reformed Church.  If you do not sign up for automatic payment, payment drop off can be made after first service in fellowship hall or during office hours. Orders cannot be processed until payment is received.
3.      These gift cards and certificates are just like cash.  When you pick up your order you will need to confirm your order by checking your certificates against the print out in your pick up envelope. You will then sign out stating that your order is complete. You are responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced cards and certificates. Neither First Reformed Church nor the SCRIP program will be responsible. Again remember this is just like cash that anybody can use.
4.      Anyone writing a Non-Sufficient Fund check will incur a fee of $30.00 to be paid to First Reformed Church Youth Account.  After two NSF checks are tendered against the Youth account then only cash, money orders or cashiers checks will be accepted for payment. No further personal checks will be accepted for purchase of gift cards or certificates.
5.      In case a store would close and you have cards or certificates that are not redeemed, it is not the responsibility of First Reformed Church nor the SCRIP program to refund you.
6.   In your individual account, you will see money accumulating for the percent rebate that is given. Remember this is a fund raiser for the youth and building debt reduction and this money will be transferred out at regular intervals to the respected accounts.
7.  If you have any questions you can email them to office
