This group meets weekly on Thursday afternoon to assemble quilts for the prayer room. It is open to all ages of people who enjoy creative crafts with a purpose. The group enjoys lots of fellowship and laughter with the intent purpose of drawing our church family to focus on prayer for the special needs of an individual or group.
The response from people who have been the recipient of some of the quilts that have been made is very gratifying and motivates the group to make this an ongoing and exciting ministry of First Reformed Church.
If you know of someone who is in need of a Prayer Quilt, please contact the church office.

Nurture Meals are available for our members to take and deliver to friends and members of our congregation.
The purpose of Nurture meals is to "nurture" physically and spiritually. Included with the meal is a prayer, scripture verse, song or devotional. The meals are not just for those who are not well or have lost a loved one but to also celebrate joys, such as births or even to welcome new neighbors.
Each month two different meals are made and are packed in either individual or family size (serves 4) containers with the baking instructions and an ingredient list. Anyone interested in helping prepare the meals is invited to join us in the church kitchen at 4:30 on the first Monday of each month.

Leaders and members of our church meet the 1st Tuesday of each month for team meetings. First Reformed Church has six teams which meet during the team meetings. The teams are: Worship, Outreach, Education, Youth, Operations, & Nurture. The teams function as the visionary arm of our ministry. On the meeting night, each team has its own separate meeting because each team has its own vision and purpose. The teams discuss ideas, issues, and various items which relate to the life of our church and congregation. Each team's approved items are then brought to the Consistory, who makes the final decision on each item.
