The Senior Fellowship group at First Reformed Church is an organization with over 30 years of history. Senior Fellowship is designed for those who are retired and looking for an opportunity for fellowship and inspiration.

Senior Fellowship elects their own officers and are led by its members. Senior Fellowship offers meals, activities, trips and inspirational speakers. Activities may include such things as a trip to the Tulip Festival in Orange City, Iowa or a visit to Inspiration Hills for a tour of a Christian camp and conference center. The group may also enjoy inspirational missionary speakers from Africa or the Middle East, or enjoy an educational slide presentation from those who have just traveled through the Netherlands, the Holy Lands or Alaska.

Lunch is enjoyed along with a time for rich fellowship. Parties have also been part of the group’s format. Periodically, the group will enjoy a meal together at an area restaurant. The group also enjoys a time for music and periodically, musical groups come in and share their talents and gifts with the group. Senior Fellowship is not just reminiscing the past, but is active in our community right now. They have been active in local missions such as: Hope Haven, The Furniture Mission, Center of Hope, the Gospel Mission, and a number of other organizations.  One-quarter of the total revenue raised by this organization is designated to mission work.

First Reformed Church benefits greatly from Senior Fellowship as many of its members volunteer to do service projects for the church. Each month, Senior Fellowship compiles and distributes the church newsletter. Senior Fellowship has assisted the church with mailings, and other tasks that would take countless hours for others to do. Members are active in the church ministry in many ways.
